For as long as I could remember, Def Leppard was one of my biggest influences. Their albums are full of amazing hit songs and the production was always second to none. Producer, Mutt Lange having a huge part in that.

 

In 2013, my parents bought me a Meet & Greet ticket to see them in August. I figured since I had a few months before the concert, I decided to record a sound alike CD with five of their songs on it. I recorded all instruments, sang every vocal line and produced the whole project myself. 

 

I was so anxious the day of the concert and hoped they'd accept my CD. It was surreal to finally see them in person. Seeing someone that seems larger than life standing next to you is definitely an out of this world experience. Luckily, all of them were so nice and happy to see a younger fan devote so much time and effort towards doing something like this. I handed the CD to their drummer, Rick Allen, and they gladly accepted it. 

 

About a month later I received an email from Joe Elliot. I couldn't believe it...
